Catherine McKinnell has been the Member of Parliament for Newcastle North since 2010. This means she was chosen at the General Election by the people who live in Newcastle North to be their voice in Parliament.

And she can raise concerns about local issues with organisations like Newcastle City Council, or Northumbria Police.
