Merry Christmas!

Our office is now closed for the Christmas period and will re-open on Friday 3rd January 2025.

All correspondence will be fully considered when my office re-opens. In the meantime, we wish you a happy Christmas and New Year.

 

If you require urgent help or assistance over the festive period, please see below for the contact information for organisations that we hope can be of assistance.  

 

Emergency services:

  • In a medical emergency call 999.
  • If you require non-emergency medical advice call 111.
  • If you are concerned about your mental health, or someone else’s mental health you should contact the Crisis Resolution Team by calling 0191 814 8899 or 999.
  • If you need to report a crime call 999 in an emergency, or 101 if it is not an emergency.

  • Men’s Advice Line for Domestic Abuse (0808 801 0327)
  • You should also call 999 and speak to the Police if you are in immediate danger.

 

Housing:

  • If you are a Newcastle City Council tenant and you require emergency support, call 0191 278 7878.
  • If you are a North Tyneside Council tenant and you require emergency support, call 0330 333 7475.
  • If you are homeless and seeking urgent housing in Newcastle call 0191 278 7878.

Council services:

  • If you require urgent assistance from Newcastle City Council, including Social Services, you should call 0191 278 7878.
  • If you require urgent assistance from North Tyneside Council, you should call 0330 333 7475. For Adult Social Care (in office hours), you should call 0191 643 2777.

 

Utilities:

  • If you are having issues with your water supply or sewerage issues, you should seek assistance from Northumbrian Water by calling 0345 717 1100.
  • If you are experiencing a loss of power, you should seek assistance from your energy provider or Northern Power Grid by calling 105.
  • If you smell gas or are worried about gas safety, you should seek assistance from Northern Gas Networks by calling 0800 111 999.
